Antiseptic weight 0.10 (shipment of 25) base id 001bf72f001ec139 (shipment of 25) Antiseptic is a crafting component in Fallout 4.
CharacteristicsEdit A chemical used to kill disease-causing micro-organisms. It's used mainly for creating medicinal items such as stimpaks and RadAway. Materials:Requirements:Produces:Miscellaneous object (see below) | range | | level | Antiseptic (varies) | Use in itemsEdit Antiseptic can be used at a chemistry station it can be used to make medical items like: LocationsEdit Antiseptic, like most crafting ingredients, is almost never found in its pure form in the world. However, it can be obtained by breaking down junk items which contain antiseptic. If searching for antiseptic, it's advised to search for the items which break down into it.
- Shipments of 25 units can be purchased from the roaming merchant Doc Weathers or from Doctor Sun in Diamond City.
- fo4aut One unobtainable bottle can be found in the "brain extraction" room of the Mechanist's lair, inside of a strange medical device's glass case.
- fo4nw Two bottles can be found on a shelf in Evan's home.
- Antiseptic can be used to make RadAway for the purposes of profit.
- As antiseptic junk items are rather uncommon, buying shipments of it may be preferable towards mass crafting.
- Most recipes that require antiseptic require blood packs except for RadAway.
- With refreshing beverage having low Rads reduction in Survival mode, and the sheer abundance of stimpaks and RadAway, it may be preferable to stockpile materials for the creation of glowing blood packs, as antiseptic and blood packs are often paired in crafting, and to keep Abraxo cleaners and blood sacs for Mentats, Mind Cloud syringe and Skeeto Spit respectively.

Some food items can be planted in player settlements to increase the settlement's food supply. In Survival mode food must be consumed periodically to reduce the Hunger effect, if neglected the player's Fatigue will increase and eventually will lead to taking damage to Hit Points. Most types of food will reduce hunger by some amount, though certain foods are more effective than others. These consumable items can heal the player, temporarily change the player's SPECIAL stats and add various other unique effects. Some of these drinks can be crafted at Chemistry stations found across the Commonwealth. To create the ice cold variants of certain beverages, they must be placed in Buddy for 12 in-game hours. In the add-on Nuka-World, the player can craft different Nuka-Cola recipes using Nuka-mixer stations. When drinking alcoholic consumables such as beer and wine, there's a chance the player can become addicted, which will result in decreased stats until the addiction is cured. To prevent addiction, the Party Boy/Girl perk must be leveled.

anyone have list of player.pa playidle actions?
show menu?
player.pa actionpipboyopen is only a animation script. How would one console command the pipboy hud? help pipboy 0 doesn't seem to help much.
there are many things that can be done by knowing these codes and batching them together with other commands.
Modifying the SPECIAL stats Edit
Has anyone managed to do it in a way that also affects the perks screen ? When I use modav, the modification appears to be applied as a modifier, and not as a modification of the base value. --Ipsin (talk) 13:54, November 13, 2015 (UTC)
You need to use player.setav x in order to make your base stats different. Modav will give you a bonus such as wearing armor, using a beverage or food like a buff and setav will change the base value. --PvtNiss (talk) 03:45, November 15, 2015 (UTC)
Max Camera Zoom Setting Edit
does anyone know the game setting for max camera zoom? "setgs fChaseCameraMax 600" does not work in this game
fVanityModeMaxDist under [Camera] in Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Fallout4Custom.ini does the trick (it's also in Fallout4.ini in the same folder, may want to edit both). fMouseWheelZoomIncrement in the same section can speed up/slow down zooming if you're using a large distance. To change them in the console, use SetINI "setting:section" value, e.g., SetINI "fVanityModeMaxDist:Camera" 300 and SetINI "fMouseWheelZoomIncrement:Camera" 0.15 (defaults are 150 and 0.075). However, I can't get them to save between sessions using the console, so you're probably better off just editing the file directly (or use the ini tweaker tool) unless someone else can figure it out. saveINI doesn't seem to work, and while changing settings in the settings menu (like toggling invert mouselook) forces an ini save, it only saves Fallout4Prefs.ini. 162.252.201.32 22:08, January 12, 2016 (UTC) OMOD IDs for Item Modding Edit
Does anyone know how to use [OMOD] IDs to mod an item?
1. Start with a weapon. You can spawn one from the console if you want with Player.AddItem FormID 1. Note that weapons spawned this way tend to have relatively powerful mods already -- I'm not sure how to spawn an unadorned weapon. 2. Drop the weapon on the ground. Open the console and click the weapon1. 3. Type AMod OModID (alias for AttachMod). For example, AMod 19ecc2 to add a sniper barrel. Similarly, RMod OModID (alias for RemoveMod) will remove the mod. It looks like Mods (alias for ShowMods) should give you a list of currently-equipped mods, but it doesn't seem to work. So you have to either explicitly overwrite existing mods, or install a different mod using the workbench then run player.showinventory to find the existing mod IDs. Or look in the workbench to find the mod name and look up the ID somewhere else. 1 Sometimes I can't click the weapon. Picking it up and dropping it again a time or two fixes the issue sometimes. If not, you can hold use to grab it (like you're going to drag it around the world), then you can type GetPlayerGrabbedRef. From there, either do PRID WeaponID then go to step 3, or use WeaponID.AMod OModID in step 3. For example, ff005ebc.AMod 19ecc2. 162.252.201.32 06:31, January 16, 2016 (UTC) SLM works with NPCs too. :)
Quest IDs Edit
Where do we find quest IDs? I'm stuck. I finished one and I need to trigger the next since it won't automatically trigger as it should. (I finished Hunter Hunted and nothing happens) 179.186.118.137 16:10, November 20, 2015 (UTC)
Ideally documented on this wiki - it will be here soon. So far you can look up IDs in the dumped xml file mentioned here - for The Molecular Level the ID would be MQ206. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:34, November 20, 2015 (UTC) This can be found at Fallout 4 quests - Abedecain (talk) 13:20, December 1, 2015 (UTC) RefID Suffix Edit
Anyone know what the new [EP] or [PP] or [T] suffixes for refIDs mean? I've noticed that everything dead has a [T] but not only dead creatures, usually people you can't interact with at the moment for some reason (like combat or if they are in the middle of something else). Seems like usually [PP] and [T] go together and [EP] is usually by itself. But this is all speculation. Originally I thought it had to do with gibbed enemies but obv that isn't the case, either... Any help? Degrelescence (talk) 13:01, December 1, 2015 (UTC)
I think the [T] is a temporary flag, raiders attacking settlements have them, as the bodies do vanish. There is also the [D] flag which is seen after the markfordelete command is used. if the command is used again the flag goes away and the object wont be removed. 68.43.16.96 18:46, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
[PP] seems to be player-centric. Sometimes a dropped item will have a [PP] suffix if it is legendary or that it was dropped out of the player's inventory (ownerhsip?) Nitrox1 12:11, January 3, 2016 UTC
[EP] and [PP] have something to do with parent/child relationships. I was trying to revive a Mr. Gutsy using refreshNPC or similar and it gave me an error that my target had a parent until I clicked a different body part that had a different tag or no tag. I don't know what they mean beyond that. 162.252.201.32 22:08, January 12, 2016 (UTC) All [EP]s I checked, have the persistent flag set in the game data. No idea what the E stands for. --Alfwyn (talk) 15:56, January 19, 2016 (UTC) If by "persistent" you mean "immortal" (i.e. they only fall down when killed, then get back up a few seconds later) then the E likely stands for essential. EDIT: after further investigation the E does not stand for essential, as some things marked [EP] are not essential. --L (JustCallMeL) (talk) 14:25, April 17, 2016 (UTC) Setting NPCs as Essential/Unkillable Edit
I think that the setessential command doesn't work as described in this article. Using isessential does return the NPC's current value, but using setessential 1 with the NPC selected returns this error:
Invalid actor base '1' for parameter Actor Base. Can anyone clue me in on what that means? Is there documentation that I could look at in the future for this kind of thing?
Also is anyone else seeing that error?
--CASREP (talk) 03:42, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, apparently it is not target.setessential <0/1> but setessential <baseID> <0/1> (I could swear this is like Oblivion again and I'm pretty sure Skyrim's version was targetable, which is strangely backwards...), though I tried it on Codsworth (who has two base-IDs for his pre- and post-war versions) and while it executed wihout errors, still returned 1 on essential checks. --SwoleRat (talk) 05:19, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
Has anyone tried with ref IDs? Make settlers immortal? If you set one settler to immortal (using the actual BASE ID instead of a ref ID), does that make them all immortal? --Nitrox1 11:14, January 3, 2016 (UTC)
refIDs can't be used with setessential. The proper syntax is setessential <baseID> <0/1>, as stated previously. --L (JustCallMeL) (talk) 14:28, April 17, 2016 (UTC) scrapall console command Edit
Would someone be able to clarify or clean up on the scrapall console command? There's a warning attached to using it, but it's not exactly clear on how to properly use it. Tito151 (talk) 11:37, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
Making page easier to readEdit
So this page is a bit of a mess. The command names and it's description are not properly seperated, wich leads into confusion.I thought it would be a good idea to make a table and put everything into that. Wich would look like this:
Command Full Name Effect
help <itemName> <int from 0 to 4> <CellID> | Help | Searches for item IDs, perk names, and even other commands. Use PageUp and PageDown keys to scroll the console. |
tmm | Toggle Map Marker | tmm 1 – Enablee all tmm 0 – Disable alltmm 1,0,1 – Add all, without fast travel |
tgm | Toggle God Mode | Become immortal. Ammuinition never depletes. |
Does this sound like a good idea? I'd be willing to edit this page if you all are okay with this rather big change.--MrFunreal (talk) 01:57, December 6, 2015 (UTC)
I think it's a good idea. If at all possible in your example, I think the text column 1 should be aligned to the right, and columns 2 and 3 should be aligned to the the left. Especially column 3 as text there will probably be in more of a paragraph format.
--CASREP (talk) 00:53, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
Agreed. It's like the Skyrim Wiki (UESPwiki). HalloweenWeed (talk) 17:23, January 20, 2016 (UTC) Console text location?Edit
The article currently has this near the top:
If the left side of the console is not visible, one may need to edit the Fallout4_Default.ini file in the installation folder. Increasing the iConsoleTextXPos variable will move the prompt further right into the field of view. Has anyone actually done this successfully in FO4? iConsoleTextXPos doesn't appear in the default file. I've tried adding it with a value of 1300 (playing on 3 monitors, trying to move console to middle screen) in Fallout4_Default.ini, but nothing changed. Tried putting it in the regular Fallout4.ini as well, no change.
How to find a lost companionEdit
- Find your companion's ID on their character page. Here's the full list of available companions.
- Open console.
- Type : 'prid YourCompanionRefID' without the . Type 'moveto player'.
- Close console.
I'm not sure if this should be left here, deleted or added somewhere else. I needed this 10mn ago to find Strong and I didn't find any quicksteps on this site. --YoDsanklai (talk) 13:05, December 9, 2015 (UTC)
Added it as a possible example to the prid command. --SwoleRat (talk) 13:53, December 9, 2015 (UTC)
Resurrecting vaporized NPCs Edit
Both the "resurrect" as well as the "recycleactor" commands do not work for me when trying to revive an NPC that has been killed by a Laser/plasma weapon and therefore reduced to an ashpile. Disabling and enabling him again also doesn't do anything. Can anyone else confirm this and/or knows a workaround?
AWingpilot Pilotenkanal 11:13, December 15, 2015 (UTC)
Works for me. Use "resurrect 1" then "disable" and finally "enable." Resurrect (without the 1) is a broken command that only works in certain conditions. Degrelescence (talk) 07:21, December 19, 2015 (UTC) Cell Reset Timer Command Edit
Adding the console command for changing the timer on Cell reset timers, from what I understand you have to do this every time you start up the game but for those that do not want to go through the whole modding "ordeal". I found that using setgs iHourstoRespawnCell <value> sets the number of hours for a cell that is not cleared to respawn enemies. directly taken from Gamebryo Engine commands. setgs iHourstoRespawnCellCleared <value> to do the same for cleared areas. just tested some combinations and this one works for cleared areas. Apologies if this is not the correct place to add this, if so feel free to remove.
Conversations doesn't disappear Edit
If my character or my companion say something, the words he said will be displayed on the screen and there is a small chance that this words will not disappear. For example, if we had a battle and my companion said something like 'shit, im wounded!', this words will stay on the screen until the game is reloaded.
Is there a way to reset ingame display layout with console or maybe something else?
Thanks in advance! Lucifer63 (talk) 08:54, December 31, 2015 (UTC)
removeperkEdit
"player.removeperk <perk ID> – Removes a specified perk.
Note: For some reason this does not seem to work for the V.A.N.S. perk." and from my experience, nor does it remove the bloody mess gore. from what i understood from a mod in the nexus the bloody mess starts a "quest" and for removing it's gore you need to stop that quest somehow. i guess it's the same with V.A.N.S and maybe a few others
Just did a little digging, and it looks like I'll need to do a bit more. There's a "quest" called the PerksQuest that handles all of the bobbleheads, magazines, leveling up SPECIAL, and some normal perks like Bloody Mess, Animal Friend, Robotics Expert, Scrapper, Scrounger, Fortune Finder, Rad Absorption, Nerd Rage, and something called "Explorer" that I'm not sure what it is at the moment. However, when I look at the list of perks, the Bloody Mess perk (and others) clearly set a stage on the PerksQuest, but VANS doesn't seem to reference it at all. I'm gonna have to jump in the rabbit hole a little further to see if I can figure it out. --Xernoc (talk) 19:01, December 31, 2015 (UTC) Ah, so VANS has an Actor Value associated with it. 00000389 VANSPerk gets set to 1 when you purchase the perk. However, it doesn't seem to respond to setav, or if it does, it won't stay. You can disable the VANS effect by using "player.forceav 389 0", but I still can't figure out how to remove it from the perk chart. Of course, using forceav is kinda risky anyway since who knows what that'll affect. Yeah, until we have better tools I think VANS is a permanent perk if you purchase it. --Xernoc (talk) 19:27, December 31, 2015 (UTC) Workshop actor values Edit
Was wondering if naming things the way game internally treats them is better opposed to UI names. For instance if someone isn't too fond/can't/etc tab out to check ids for power/food/water/defense/happiness/etc and decides to quickly look it up though console finding defense might take a while... for what ever reason it's called safety. I admit I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what defense is called... till I realized I could just search for "workshopratingdamage"(missing/total) and find all of em right away...
Also may be worth mentioning that "help "water" 4 avif" will quickly display id for water value without the need to look for it online. Same would apply to all other stuff like draws and triangles and so forth. Also "getbudgetcounts" returns draws and triangles in their current and max form right away. Just don't mistype that into "budgetcounts" since that just scrapes and shoves everything into workshop -_- --HiSaZuL (talk) 03:19, February 14, 2016 (UTC)
Way to show disabled items? Edit
Are there any commands that allow me to enable items in a given area? I want to delete the items instead but that is difficult without the ability to select them in the console view.--108.36.89.96 17:43, August 2, 2016 (UTC)
Quest command: failquest is uselessEdit
Had removed it, but don't know if there's another command.
Dismissed companion settlement targetEdit
Surely there must be a console command that sets where a companion should go when dismissed. Specifically, I'm interested in resetting companions that have been assigned to settlements with the menu back to their original homes. I'm aware of how to do it before you assign a settpement, but not if it's possible afterward. -hashtalk 23:55, November 26, 2016 (UTC)
Altered timescale crashing Edit
Someone please provide a source that confirms this statement: "Warning: Altering the timescale will cause the game to crash if NPCs spawned using placeleveledactoratme or moveto player enter into combat"
The statement appears on every Fallout game's console page. I have never seen it anywhere but on those pages or seen any evidence that it is correct. --Rooker75 (talk) 16:17, June 15, 2017 (UTC)
missing getvalueinfo command Edit
This page does not list the invaluable getvalueinfo command
For those of us plagued by the "perception permanently impaired" bug, the command
player.getvalueinfo perception will display the exact impairment (listed as the negative value of "temp") so that we can then use
player.modav perception [value] with that same value to offset the supposedly-temporary impairment that has become permanent.

Adhesive is a crafting component in Fallout 4.
CharacteristicsEdit
A sticky substance used for binding objects together. Adhesive is an uncommon but valuable component, and is required for nearly every modification for weapons, armor, and robots.
Materials:Requirements:Produces:Miscellaneous object (see below) | range | | level | Adhesive (varies) |
LocationsEdit
Adhesive is almost never found in its pure form in the world. As such, when one is attempting to search for adhesive, it is advised to search for the items which break down to adhesive such as duct tape and glue instead of the raw material.
- Adhesive products are often found in red tool boxes and tool chests scattered throughout the world.
- Shipments of 25 units of adhesive can be purchased from the following merchants:
The base price for a shipment (25) is 1000 caps, equating to 40 caps per adhesive. For comparison, duct tape (1 adhesive) is 12 caps, and wonderglue (2) is 20 caps, making it four times as expensive simply for convenience. One such way (see below) is to craft vegetable starch within the settlements by farming all of its requirements and crafting it personally at a cooking station.
- Adhesives are remarkably efficient in terms of yield per weight, with even the least efficient adhesives providing upwards of 7 adhesive per pound of weight.
- While not strictly a rare item, adhesive tends to be one of the most sought after and short supplied resources in the game, due to being used for almost all weapon and armor modifications.
- Vegetable starch is a source of adhesive and can be created at any cooking station using 3 corn (6 caps each), 3 mutfruit (8 caps each), 3 tato (7 caps each) and one bottle of purified water (20 caps each). Scrapping the starch yields 5 adhesive at a cost of 83 caps - 16.6 caps per adhesive. Creating vegetable starch also provides a large amount of experience, making leveling very possible with only creating the substance. All of these ingredients can be readily available at settlements, with farming and a water purifier. A very useful spot to make an adhesive farm is on Spectacle Island with all of its water and land to farm.
